What NLP means
Natural Language Processing (NLP) is the area of AI that works with human text or speech. Tasks include sentiment analysis, translation, summarising, and answering questions.
Why language is difficult
The same word can have different meanings in different sentences. Negation, word order, tone, and context all matter. “The product is good, but delivery was not on time” contains both praise and complaint. A model must consider the whole statement and the question being asked.
